While poetry is the medium I love at Oceantics, I am at heart a novelist. My most recent novel is called Daughters of Babylon, and it’s available in paperback or ebook through most online retailers. A blend of mystery, history, and magical realism, Daughters will take you to places you’ve never imagined in the south of France and rural Mexico but always suspected were there. There’s plenty for poets to love, too!

A published writer since 1985, I’ve written everything from business sense to romance. The Corporate Storyteller: A Writing Manual & Style Guide for the Brave New Business Leader came out in 2009, and I’m having the time of my life writing sassy poetry here at Oceanics.
If you enjoyed Daughters of Babylon or are looking for a couple of shorter reads, check out my novella of horror and good medicine, Dead Edit Redo, a novella of horror and Dead to Rights, A Circularity of Glosas by my heteronymic collaborator, Alain C. Dexter.
If you’re a fan of top quality poetry, fiction, and art on the dark side, you will love Deep Water Literary Journal. I love them because they publish my poetry, and they’re wonderful to work with. You can find Deep Water here.

Thank you, Gavriel’s Muse. I agree with you about legends. By the time they “reach the surface” aeons of prep work have already taken place, making them unshakable. I too am enjoying the show.

you post such beautiful and polished work, where I tend to just throw stuff at the screen and see what sticks. I do have a few older poems that show more care and completeness, some in my book
